Keep Framingham Affordable

Every tax is a pay cut. |
---|
This was originally for $54 million to rebuild Framingham High School.
The state was to pay 70% of the cost, but that was changed to 90% when the
project was nearly completed.
There was a builtin cost overrun factor of four percent but in fiscal 2005, town meeting granted another $5.2 million for further cost overruns. Basically, the taxpayers have to pay $5.9 million over twenty years until about the year 2020. The other $54 million was paid from your other pocket (the state tax pocket), versus your local property tax pocket. |
